If you’re nursing or pumping for any part of your journey, finding a good bra can make a huge difference. The right one can make feedings smoother, more comfortable, and a lot less stressful during an already overwhelming time.
When I had my first daughter, I sought support from an IBCLC because I really wanted to breastfeed. I tried a lot of nursing and pumping bras before I finally found my favorites.
Now, as I’m starting to breastfeed my third baby, I’ve rounded up the top nursing bras that truly made a difference for me. We took time to research additional options on the market so you have a well-rounded list to choose from.
For each nursing bra, we looked at pricing, sizing, materials, and standout features. Because what works best for one nursing mom might not work at all for the next. Our bodies, and our boobs, are all different!
Entering postpartum, often called the fourth trimester, is no joke. You’ve just had your baby, and you’re adjusting to new routines. On top of that, feeding your baby can feel like a full-time job! Having comfortable, supportive essentials can go a long way in making this season a little easier.
Top Nursing Bras That Made The Cut
In order to make the list, these nursing and pumping bras had to meet certain criteria. Since every mom’s body is different, they will have varying reviews; but, every bra has a 4-star rating or higher in reviews. Additionally, we looked at comfort, functionality, style, and coverage.
Price: $52.89 Sizes: S-3X with fits for regular, busty, and super busty Material: 93% Nylon, 7% Spandex
The Kindred Bravely Sublime Nursing Bra is our overall pick for the top nursing bras. It checks so many boxes: comfort, structured support, easy one-handed nursing access, and more. This nursing bra is also size inclusive with fits for women with regular busts, and women who are super busty.
It’s highly-rated by nursing mothers for its durability and comfort. It works for nursing and wearable pumps. The padding holds up to being pulled down for nursing and doesn’t get lumpy. (A total win!)
We also consider it one of the best nursing bras for larger breasts because of the busty and super busty fits. Kindred Bravely is size inclusive and depending on the size and fit you choose can accommodate B-K cup sizes.
Reviews say this nursing bra can fit larger breasts and still accommodate smaller ribcages as well.
Highlights:
Size inclusive
Comfortable yet supportive
Removable padding
One-handed nursing access
Accommodates nursing or wearable pumps
Wireless nursing bra with good support and structure
Band extender for customized fit
Take Note:
Some users say the bands can be scratchy
Some moms note the padding can bunch or flip when pulling the clip down to nurse
We crowdsourced for this find! Many moms said David & Adley’s nursing and pumping bra competes with Kindred Bravely’s nursing bra, especially for larger breasted women.
You can nurse or pump in it. For nursing, you can loosen the strap and pull the bra down. For pumping, insert flanges into the slots in the front. This bra can accommodate wearable pumps as well.
The sizing guide allows you to select a size that fits your bust and underbust size.
Highlights:
Created by a women-owned small business
Nursing and pumping bra that accommodates wearable pumps
A good nursing bra for larger breasts
Fits more like a nursing sports bra
Take Note:
Because of the pull-down nursing style, some moms say the bra is better suited for pumping overall
Cake Maternity makes one of the best nursing bras for larger breasts. Their Popping Candy bra fits cup sizes G-K while also providing support.
Say goodbye to nursing bras that feel clunky and abrasive. Cake designed this nursing bra for comfort! It has 6 hook and eye closures to adjust bust size as your body changes and thick straps that provide ample support.
Highlights:
Fits bust sizes G-K
Seamless, wire-free, and tag-free
6 hook and eye options
Plastic-free worldwide shipping
Take Note:
More pricey option
Bra is tight and snug until being “worn in”
Some users say they don’t like the shape it gives under clothing
Target nursing bras are great and there’s a lot of good selection online. One of the most affordable nursing bras out there is the Auden seamless nursing bra. At under $20, you really can’t beat it.
This bra is machine washable, so comfortable (thanks to no underwire) and soft. It has one-handed nursing access, too.
Highlights:
Affordable – under $20!
Seamless and comfortable
6-hook back closures to adjust fit throughout pregnancy and postpartum
Take Note:
The thicker band around the ribs isn’t moisture-wicking, so if you sweat, get ready for the band to just stay wet
Stretches out after extended use and washing, may not fit as well if you try using it during another pregnancy or postpartum
If you’re nursing and pumping, The Do Anything Bra from Bodily is a great option. It’s soft, comfortable and gives you options. No switching bras to pump when you’re out to dinner.
Honestly, it feels like wearing nothing! That being said, it is a less supportive nursing bra. The silky fabric does not have any additional padding or support to hold up the girls. Because of this, we don’t think it’s as well suited for busty moms.
This wireless nursing bra has over 1,000 reviews talking about how comfortable and soft it is. While it doesn’t have underwire, it still provides a lifted and sculpted cup.
Moms say it’s easy to pull the clip down and nurse. However, there are mixed reviews on the fit of the bra depending on your bust size.
Highlights:
Super soft, seamless nursing bra
Affordably priced
Band extender included
Take Note:
While the band extender helps adapt to your under-bust size, many moms comment the bra cups run small and are problematic for large breasts
Many moms love a good nursing sports bra to give moderate support for more active days. Kindred Bravely recently came out with this affordably priced 2-pack of nursing sports bras that can function as pumping bras, too.
Moms say they love the support the bras provide and the racerback straps help distribute the weight of nursing breasts. And no switching bras whether you nurse or pump is a huge win!
Highlights:
Affordable 2-pack
Nursing or pumping bra
Pump flanges stay in place
Seamless fit under clothing
Take Note:
While these are nursing sports bras, they’re designed for low-impact activity and don’t offer as much compression as a non-maternity sports bra
Lots of lauded hands-free pumping bras are strapless and hard to get on with all the compression needed to keep flanges in place. But not this one!
We love how this bra can be used for pumping or nursing, you never have to change! The seams that allow for pump flanges to fit are tucked off to the side. This way, the bra looks seamless under clothing and it doesn’t rub against your nipples. Because let’s be honest, that is the worst.
Offered at an affordable price, this pumping bra checks so many boxes for us!
Highlights:
Comfortable, stretchy, and affordable
Racerback style is a cross between regular bra and sports bra
The seams for the pump flanges don’t cause nipple irritation
Can accommodate hands-free pumping and wearable pumps
Take Note:
Breast pads aren’t sewn in and can be tricky to get back into place after washing
I absolutely love these nursing bras for sleeping and all-around comfort throughout the day. I wore these in the hospital when Natalie was born. It was so easy to pull the criss-cross front to the side for nursing access.
These bras were thoughtfully designed with a double layer of fabric, room to add nursing pads, and natural fiber (cotton, yay!).
Highlights:
Mostly cotton
Super affordable
Designed for sleeping
Lots of colorways to choose from
Take Note:
These bras are not designed to give structured support, they’re a looser fit with no included padding
Bralettes for Nursing
Okay, while these bralettes aren’t labeled “nursing bralettes,” they still very much work! I wear both of these brands and they’re totally nursing-friendly. The best part is you can wear them well after your nursing days are over. I certainly do!
Not technically a bralette made FOR nursing, but a bralette that works well when you’re nursing. Does that make sense? Just pull down to nurse, then pull back up – it’s that simple!
These cotton bralettes are so comfy and I wear them all the time, even when I’m not pregnant or postpartum. While they don’t give lots of support and lift, they’re perfect for natural shaping and light support.
Highlights:
Wear them 24/7, even when you’re not pregnant
Mostly cotton
Unbeatable price
Take Note:
Straps are not adjustable
Be careful drying them as they’re mostly cotton and prone to shrink a bit in higher heat
Made with organic cotton and no underwire, these Pact bralettes are so comfortable while still feeling feminine.
This is another great option to use as an everyday bra, or convert to a nursing bra when you need it! The v-neck design allows you to pull the cup to the side to breastfeed.
This nipple butter moisturizes with organic ingredients that are safe for mom and baby. It’s one of my nursing essentials. You can even put some on your pump flanges, or dry lips!

Most parenting resources come from a single expert's perspective, but development doesn't really work that way.
You can't fully understand feeding without input from both a dietitian and a feeding specialist. You can't properly address milestones without OT, PT, and SLP perspectives working together. That's why every Eat Play Say resource is created collaboratively by our entire team — giving you the most comprehensive guidance possible, all in one place.
