The Mother’s Day Guide

I’d like to argue that every day should be Mother’s Day because we are keeping small humans alive, but hey the second Sunday in May is a decent day, too! Here are the team’s FAVES for all kinds of moms. Remember that we only recommend items that we have personally used and love, and we take our recommendations seriously. Send this to your partner, your friends, and anyone else that needs to know what moms truly like!

  1. L.L. Bean Wicked Good Slippers: These are my favorite slippers to get cozy and lounge around the house in and really great quality. I have had for several years and they hold up great!

  2. Cotton Waffle Blanket: I love a good waffle, especially when it’s 100% cotton. These are my favorite blankets and they wash well, too! It’s also my toddler’s favorite blanket!

  3. Cotton Robe: A bathroom staple, I put it on in the morning when I wake up and it’s like a little wrapped hug. 100% cotton and pockets!

  4. Vera Bradley Pajamas: If you watch my stories on Instagram, you know these VB pajamas are a favorite and are worn on repeat. Such cute prints and 100% cotton. I love them so much, I have 4 sets! They frequently go on deal, so keep an eye out!

  5. Lima Kiziks: A total game changer for me as a mom, slip them on and go anywhere. The Fawn color is my favorite. Love the wide toe base- they are my most used walking shoe! Go up a half size. “JORDYN” saves 10%.

  6. Prague Kiziks: I loved my Limas so much, I bought the Pragues in the Creme Brulee color for a fun everyday sneaker that I can pair with jeans, leggings, or sweats! They’re so comfortable and versatile, too. Go up a half size. “JORDYN10” saves 10%.

  7. Cotton Bras: Okay, these are so comfortable and I wear them all the time. Affordable and nursing friendly, too! And if you like to sleep in a cami or bralette, these are perfect!

  8. L.L. Bean Pajamas: If you’re not sleeping through the night, you might as well look cute (and be comfortable!). These LL Bean pjs fit the bill. I own the blue and the blue with stripes and love them.

  9. Aerie Waffle Henley: This is my favorite waffle henley! Super comfy and easy to throw on with a pair of jeans or sweats and go! Tuck the front into jeans or leave it all out with leggings!

  10. Hey Dude Wendy Mocassins: Another pair of shoes I have and love - cute, functional, and comfortable. So lightweight its like you don’t even have them on!

  11. Heating Pad: This heating pad is awesome because it’s designed to fit and lay on your neck and back. It’s more like a heated shawl! Shoulder tension, neck tension, and back pain be GONE!

  1. Dime Biome Body Butter: I love the consistency of this body butter! With almost no smell to it, it goes on nice and smooth and leaves you feeling moisturized all day and night. My elbows have gotten so much softer using this! “EATPLAYSAY” saves 20%!

  2. Dime Glaze: I pair with the Body Butter at night after an “everything shower” and I wake up feeling like a goddess. I use during the day for a little glazed donut finish on my arms and legs and it’s a nice touch! “EATPLAYSAY” saves 20%!

  5. Lumineux Whitestrips: My favorite nontoxic teeth whitening strips. I see a difference after using it once!

  6. Dime Wonderscreen: This clean zinc-based sunscreen is so light! To add some “sun-kissed glow” to your face, pick the tinted Wonderscreen, or select the no-tint option. Jordyn uses Shade 2 year round! “EATPLAYSAY” saves 20%!

  7. Primally Pure Shower Steamer: A great addition to your shower routine, especially during stressful times. The essential oils help you relax and decongest.

  8. Glass Water Bottle: We all know part of taking care of ourselves is staying hydrated, and we will drink more when we’re drinking out of something pretty (just kidding, but also not kidding). I love this cute glass bottle with silicone sleeve - and I feel like I actually drink more water when using it.

  9. Dime - The Works: The only beauty set you need. I only use Dime products on my face and this combination of cleanser, toner, serums and moisturizers is all you need for day and night. EWG rated well and non-toxic. I recommend to everyone! “EATPLAYSAY” saves 20%!

  11. Primally Pure Everything Spray: Another Primally Pure product we love. Jenna uses it as a facial toner, underarm refresher, and for eczema flare-ups, too. EATPLAYSAY saves 15%.

  12. Primally Pure Candle: Everyone loves a good smelling candle to light for a bath or while cozying up to read, but lots of candles with fragrance are toxic. I love that Primally Pure’s are made with clean ingredients like beeswax and coconut wax. Did you know burning beeswax creates negative ions that actually help purify the air?! Cool. EATPLAYSAY saves 15%.

  13. Collagen Peptides: I scoop these in my coffee every morning! They taste like nothing- you can’t even tell they are in there! Mix in with a spoon and you’re good to go! I have felt 100000x better in my second postpartum season because I’m taking better care of myself, and these are a part of my routine!

  1. Vegetable Chopper: This thing makes chopping vegetables a breeze. It’s got two sizes of chopping settings - so every piece is a uniform size. Jenna and her husband use it weekly to chop potatoes, onions, peppers and more. It’s also a more compact kitchen gadget which makes it easy to store.

  2. De'Longhi La Specialista Espresso Machine: Eric wanted this, so we splurged and Jordyn actually uses more than him! It makes a cold brew in 5 min. FIVE MINUTES. It also makes a great americano and espresso. It’s easy to use and I feel like a champion coffee connoisseur using it!

  3. Butcher Block Cutting Board: We all know Eric is the main cook in the kitchen, but we both use and love this cutting board to cut produce, cheese, etc. It’s conditioned with beeswax, flaxseed, and lemon oil - so no yucky ingredients. It’s practical and beautiful.

  4. HU Chocolate Variety Pack: One of our favorite clean chocolate brands. SO GOOD! Jenna buys HU when it’s on sale and hides it in the back of her pantry - a not so guilty pleasure. Her favorite is cashew butter + vanilla bean.

  5. Vintage Glass Mugs: Gosh, I love these vintage glass mugs. If it’s been a particularly hard night with sleep, I put my coffee in one of these to feel fancy and take back the day. They come in a pack of 6 and could also be used as a great gift for other moms/women in your life. Stick some tea packets or a gift card to your favorite coffee shop in them and make someone’s day.

  6. Crossbody Bag: Okay, I love this bag. I use it when we go out and I want to be hands-free but still need to pack light. It can fit my phone, snacks, a diaper, and more. And it’s a steal of a price- and looks so high end!

  7. Flower Hair Clips: Similar to a claw clip, but make it trendy. These are non-slip and practical for the mom who wants to pull her hair back but still feel cute. I love the color combinations they come in! If you have shorter or medium length hair especially, these are great!

It can provide health stats like high and low heart rate notifications and notify you of an irregular heart rate as well as body temperature. With GPS, an Emergency SOS feature and great battery life - this is wearing technology on your sleeve.

  2. Tineco Floor ONE s7 Combo: This is the gold standard of wet/dry vacuums. One vacuum can sweep, scrub, and mop. The Tineco system even has a self-cleaning feature so you don’t have to do the dirty work.

  3. Hatch Restore: It’s a sunrise alarm, sound machine, and bedside lighting. Choose white, pink, brown, or other noise to fall asleep and/or wake up to. It also comes with phone-free controls so you don’t need your phone beside you 24/7 and can “unplug” for sleep. And it’s CUTE!

  8. Kindle: Great for the bookworm! Glare-free, compact and so light. Jenna loves hers - especially the feature that lets you highlight passages and come back to them later. It’s got tons of storage for different books and you can also use it to check out eBooks from your local library through the Libby app for FREE!

There are sensors to tell you when you’re brushing too hard and when a replacement head is needed. There are other smart features, too, including 3 intensities and cleaning modes. I’m 31 with no cavities, so it’s doing something right!

  6. Hydroflask: I love my Hydroflask when I want to throw my bottle into the diaper bag and not have it spill. It’s leakproof, durable, and comes in lots of fun colors! Keeps cold drinks cold for up to 24 hours and hot drinks hot for up to 12 hours!

  7. Wildbird Aerial Carrier: The comfiest carrier I own! Every mom should look into one of these - the shoulder and back support are so great and I love that there is a piece to flip up to provide more head support or try and darken baby’s sleep space if they are taking a nap in it. I loved it so much, Jenna tried it when we were together and then went home and bought one for herself. Being able to easily put it on by yourself is a game changer.

  8. Stasher Bag Set: Practical and sustainable. I love Stasher bags to eliminate single use plastics!
