Best Travel Stroller for Flying (& Our Overall Pick)

Price: $499.99
Weight: 16.7 lbs.
The UPPAbaby Minu V3 is a great stroller for all types of travel, but it’s our favorite travel stroller for flying specifically.

It’s compliant with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) because its folded dimensions meet the requirements for carry-on luggage. While it’s an additional purchase, the Minu Travel Bag is well worth the investment. It provides excellent protection for the stroller during flights and gives added peace of mind when checking or storing it.
Once you reach your destination, the Minu V3 is incredibly easy to use. Its one-handed fold and unfold make it simple to collapse and store in a trunk, rideshare, or hotel room. The intuitive brake system is another one of my favorite features. Simply press the right pedal to engage the brake and the left pedal to release it.

For families traveling with infants, UPPAbaby’s infant car seats integrate seamlessly with the Minu using adapters, creating a convenient travel system. We paired ours with the Aria V2 infant car seat and loved how lightweight and easy it was to transport.
Why We Love The UPPAbaby Minu V3
- Lightweight and highly portable for travel
- GREENGUARD Gold Certified
- Folded size meets IATA carry-on guidelines
- Generous recline and canopy make it comfortable even without a car seat
- Excellent storage capacity for a travel stroller, holding up to 20 pounds of gear
- Easy one-handed fold and unfold
- Seamless compatibility with UPPAbaby infant car seats using adapters
Considerations
- Many of the accessories that enhance convenience, such as the travel bag, snack tray, and car seat adapters, are sold separately and increase the overall cost
- Some parents report that the seat does not sit fully upright, which may make it less comfortable for children who prefer a more upright seating position

Price: $749.99
Weight: 27.4 lbs.
The UPPAbaby Minu Duo is the best double travel stroller for flying. Like its single counterpart, the Duo has a travel bag for use on flights. It has wheels to easily pull around the airport. When used with the travel bag, the stroller is protected by UPPAbaby’s TravelSafe program which covers any damage to gear during air travel within 4 years of your purchase!

We took this to Florida with the kids and it’s so easy to steer, you can push it with one hand! The recline and sun shade extension are really nice and work well for stroller naps. I love the size of this double stroller because it’s big enough to fit an elementary aged child, and can still accommodate babies, too. You can even pop the Aria V2 car seat on one side with an adapter. It’s such a versatile stroller with the different set ups and ages of kids it can tow.

Just like the Minu V3, the Minu Duo has the same one-handed collapse and release and intuitive brake system. There’s still great storage underneath to hold your diaper bag, snacks, and other travel necessities.
Why We Love The UPPAbaby Minu Duo
- Slim design can maneuver through standard doorways
- GREENGUARD Gold Certification
- Can function as an everyday stroller for multiple kids as well
- Grows with your family from birth through early elementary years
- Seamless compatibility with UPPAbaby infant car seats using adapters
- Travel bag and TravelSafe protection provides peace of mind when flying
Considerations
- Many of the accessories that enhance convenience, such as the travel bag, snack tray, and car seat adapters, are sold separately and increase the overall cost
- Some users report the wheels can’t handle bumpier, more rugged terrain and the stroller is best used on sidewalks and smoother surfaces
Best Travel Stroller for Road Trips

Price: $599
Weight: 25 lbs.
The Zoe Travel Stroller is our top pick for road trips because it combines the comfort and functionality of an everyday stroller with a lightweight, travel-friendly design. It’s easy to load into the trunk, simple to maneuver, and ready for whatever adventures your family has planned.

One of the standout features of the Zoe Twin is how well it pushes and handles while still remaining compact. Despite being a double stroller, its slim frame fits through standard doorways easily. It’s a practical choice for everything from rest stops and restaurants to museums and attractions.
The large under-seat basket provides plenty of room for diaper bags, snacks, extra layers, and other travel essentials. Compared to the UPPAbaby Minu Duo, it offers more storage space while also being slightly lighter to lift in and out of the trunk.

Your little ones will love the included cup holders on each side and the shared snack cup in the middle. This keeps water bottles and favorite treats within reach during long days on the go.
For families looking to customize their setup, Zoe offers a variety of accessories sold separately, including all-terrain wheels, snack trays, foot muffs, carry straps, and more. The stroller can also be expanded to accommodate up to four children, making it a versatile option for growing families.
Why We Love The Zoe Travel Stroller
- Lightweight, compact design that’s GREENGUARD Gold Certified
- Expandable system can accommodate up to four children
- Slim profile fits through standard doorways
- Large storage basket for travel essentials
- Customizable with accessories to fit your family’s needs
- Excellent as both an everyday stroller and a travel stroller
Considerations
- Many convenience features and accessories are sold separately, increasing the overall cost
- The folding and unlocking mechanism can be less intuitive compared to the UPPAbaby Minu Duo
- All-terrain wheels are available as an upgrade and are not included with the stroller
Best Travel Stroller for Day Trips and Sightseeing

Price: $699
Weight: 50 lbs.
The WonderFold W4 isn’t as compact as a traditional travel stroller, but it’s a great choice for local travel, sightseeing, and day trips. We use ours for neighborhood walks, trips to the zoo, park outings, and more. It’s also a fantastic option for amusement parks, where littles may need a place to rest throughout the day.

One of the biggest advantages of the WonderFold W4 is its ability to comfortably accommodate up to four little ones, making it one of the best travel stroller options for larger families. Despite its size, it maneuvers surprisingly well and offers an incredible amount of storage. Seriously, there are so many pockets and plenty of room for snacks, diaper bags, souvenirs, and other essentials.
A favorite feature is the front zippered entrance, which allows little ones to climb in and out independently. On long days of exploring, kids have a comfortable place to sit and relax under the protective canopy, while the wagon itself doubles as extra storage when not all seats are occupied.
Why We Love The Wonderfold Stroller Wagon
- Comfortably accommodates up to four children
- All-terrain wheels handle a variety of surfaces with ease
- Durable, high-quality construction designed to grow with your family
- Removable canopy provides sun protection while mesh panels promote airflow
- Five-point harnesses keep each child secure
- Excellent storage capacity with multiple pockets and cargo space
- Front zippered entrance makes it easy for kids to get in and out
Considerations
- The WonderFold W4 is larger and heavier than a traditional travel stroller, making it more challenging to lift in and out of vehicles
- While it fits well in most SUVs and vans, it may not be practical for families with compact cars or limited cargo space
- Families with only one child may find the size and capacity unnecessary for their needs
Best Travel Stroller to Keep in the Trunk

Price: $270
Weight: 13 lbs.
The GB Pockit earns our pick for the best travel stroller to keep in the trunk thanks to its incredibly compact fold and lightweight design. If you’re looking for a stroller that’s always ready for spontaneous outings, errands, vacations, or everyday adventures, this one is hard to beat.
Designed with a slim profile and front-wheel suspension, the Pockit handles city sidewalks and paved paths surprisingly well while remaining easy to maneuver. Its compact size makes it ideal for families who want a stroller available at all times without sacrificing valuable cargo space.
One of the biggest advantages of the Pockit is how quickly it folds. In just two simple steps, it collapses into an ultra-compact package that fits easily into nearly any trunk. Whether you’re running into a store, meeting friends for lunch, or heading out for a weekend getaway, it’s a convenient grab-and-go option.
Suitable for children from 6 months up to 55 pounds, the stroller features a reclining seat and a UPF 50+ sun canopy to help keep little ones comfortable while on the move. The under-seat basket can hold up to 11 pounds, providing room for essentials without adding unnecessary bulk.
Why We Love The gb Pockit Stroller
- Ultra-compact fold that’s airplane hand luggage compliant
- Perfect for travel, errands, and everyday use
- Fits easily in virtually any trunk
- Reclining seat and large UPF 50+ sun canopy
- Storage basket holds up to 11 pounds of gear
Considerations
- Single stroller design may not be practical for families with multiple young children who still need stroller accommodations
- Some parents report that the harness straps can be difficult to adjust
- The seat does not sit fully upright, which may be less comfortable for children who prefer a more upright seating position
- Storage capacity is more limited than larger travel strollers
Best Travel Stroller for Infants

Price: $650
Weight: 16.5 lbs.
The Doona Car Seat and Stroller is our top pick for infants because it seamlessly transforms from a car seat to a stroller in seconds. With the push of a button, the wheels deploy and you’re ready to go—no separate stroller frame required.
Parents especially love the Doona for travel because it makes transitioning from the car to the airport, sidewalk, or destination incredibly simple. If your baby falls asleep during the ride, there’s no need to unbuckle them and transfer them to a stroller. The Doona allows you to move from one place to the next with minimal disruption.
One important consideration is that because the Doona functions as both a car seat and stroller, babies can spend extended periods in a seated position if parents aren’t intentional about breaks. As with any infant car seat or stroller system, it’s a good idea to allow babies opportunities to stretch, move, and change positions throughout the day whenever possible.
Why We Love the Doona
- Good option for families who travel a lot
- TÜV and FAA aircraft approved
- Eliminates the need for a separate stroller frame
- Makes airport and travel transitions incredibly easy
- Durable wheels that handle a variety of surfaces well
Considerations
- Accommodates infants up to 35 inches tall or 30 pounds, which means families may outgrow it sooner than a traditional stroller
- Higher upfront investment for a product with a shorter usable lifespan.
- Does not include an under-seat storage basket for diaper bags or other travel essentials
- Materials contain flame-retardant chemicals, which may be a consideration for families seeking options made without added flame retardants
- Be mindful of how much time baby spends in a container, especially during long outings
Best Umbrella Stroller

Price: $89
Weight: 11.8 lbs.
Sometimes an umbrella stroller is exactly what you need for travel. It’s a lightweight, compact option that’s easy to toss in the car and won’t take up much space at your destination. The Kolcraft Cloud Umbrella Stroller delivers that convenience while offering several features that aren’t always found in traditional umbrella strollers.
Designed with both parent and child comfort in mind, the stroller includes a sun canopy and reclining seat that provide a comfortable place for little ones to rest. Unlike many umbrella strollers that can feel flimsy, the Kolcraft Cloud has a sturdier frame and handles uneven sidewalks and bumpy terrain surprisingly well.
The stroller includes a child snack tray as well as a parent organizer with two cup holders and space for essentials like your phone, keys, or wallet. The under-seat storage basket is roomy enough to hold a diaper bag and other necessities.
Another major perk? The Kolcraft Cloud meets Disney and theme park stroller requirements, making it a great choice for family vacations and amusement park adventures.
Why We Love This Umbrella Stroller
- Lightweight, compact design fits in any trunk
- Disney and theme park-approved
- Sun shade, reclinable seat, and snack tray to keep your child comfortable
- Padded handle and cup holders for parents
- Easy to open and collapse
- Comes in a double version for multiple kids
Considerations
- Costs more than many basic umbrella strollers, though it includes significantly more convenience features
- Cup holders are somewhat shallow and may not securely hold larger drink containers
- Harness straps are not padded, which may be less comfortable for some children during longer outings
