My daughter Anna started seeing Jordyn when she was 20 months old. She was just starting to learn to sign at that time and was not saying any words yet. Jordyn saw her 2-3 times per week and I was blown away by her knowledge and professionalism from the very beginning. Anna absolutely loved her to pieces and looked forward to seeing her for each session. Jordyn had Anna follow a schedule on the wall every time she came to her room by physically taking on and off the next task. Anna thrived with this method. At first Anna was not even able to hold attention for longer than a few seconds, but in a few weeks she could do an activity for 15 minutes or more at only 2 years old. Still to this day this method has stayed with her and she has more patience than her peers.

Jordyn provided me with so much information, amazing resources, games, educational websites, and books to use at home as well. She is patient, incredibly smart, sweet, kind, and amazing with children. She lives and breathes therapy, she is an expert, and it is in her blood. Jordyn gets down on the child’s level and really understands them even at a young age. We started doing jaw grading bite blocks and Talk Tools Horn Hierarchy — which Anna eventually went through all of them and graduated from the program. This helped strengthen her oral motor strength tremendously and she began speaking words, and then 3 word sentences with Jordyn’s guidance and support. Jordyn did not just help Anna learn to speak – she worked with me and supported me during this difficult time of trying to navigate the new waters of a child needing speech therapy. The entire time giving me tools to use at home as well as listening to my concerns. She would talk to me after each session explaining everything she did and the science behind everything she was doing.

We are so blessed to have met and worked with Jordyn. We will never forget her or all that she did for Anna and our family. Jordyn gave Anna the tools and therapy she needed to find her own voice which is priceless. Now, Anna talks a mile a minute and is succeeding in Kindergarten — still using many of the tools taught to her during therapy.

Jordyn was my son’s SLP from ages 2-4. She played such a major role in his development. She was professional, caring, and highly skilled in her craft. My son always looked forward to their sessions. He still talks about “Ms. Jordyn”, and he is now 8 years old! If you are looking for a therapist that is person centered and will have your child’s best interests at heart, look no further! My son, Nicholas, received speech therapy from Jordyn from the ages of 4 to 6, and the progress was incredible. When Nicholas started, he was communicating with only 1 or 2 words and, for the most part, could not be understood by anyone outside of our household. By the end of his time with Jordyn, he was speaking in 5-word sentences and his articulation improved, all of which gave him the confidence to engage with family, friends and strangers. Finally, Nicholas could effectively communicate and his personality blossomed. It has been three years since he last worked with Jordyn and Nicholas still talks about Ms. Jordyn and how much he loved working with her. Jordyn will always hold a special place in my heart because of her work with Nicholas.
