Hi, I’m Jordyn!

I live in a small town in Pennsylvania with my husband and two littles. I created Eat Play Say because I want parents to feel good about their little one’s speech + feeding development.

I quit my full-time (what I then thought was my “dream”) job as a speech-language pathologist and feeding specialist after my son was born in 2021. Shortly after becoming a mom, I realized how little information there is for parents about how to support their baby’s speech, language, play, and feeding skills. ALL of those things are connected! Yet information is never delivered in a holistic way…. until now. Eat Play Say is a supportive place for parents to get the information they deserve about development, and to feel good about how to support their little one at home.

My Qualifications & Approach

I received my Bachelor of Science in speech-language pathology and audiology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2014, and my Master of Science in speech-language pathology from Towson University in 2016. I have been practicing as a licensed speech-language pathologist since 2016. I have completed extensive continuing education in the areas of early intervention, play-based therapy, as well as pediatric feeding and swallowing and oral motor disorders, and have spent several years working on an intensive feeding unit at a local pediatric rehabilitation hospital. For the entirety of my career, I have worked almost exclusively with infants and toddlers, focusing on early language skills, play skills and oral motor/feeding development.

And now, I have built an entire team of professionals that are helping me help you! Eat Play Say consists of speech-language pathologists, lactation consultants, feeding specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and registered dietitians. And, all of these professionals are moms, too!

It shouldn’t be confusing.

I have heard from so many parents that they hear one thing at the pediatrician’s office (start rice cereal at 4 months, it’s ok that your baby isn’t babbling at 9 months), and another thing online, and another thing from their best friend, their aunt, etc. And even though parents are given all this “information,” they are actually left with more questions than answers.

Enough. Let’s stop the confusion and get the facts.

All of the resources at Eat Play Say are research-based, parent-friendly, supportive, and are designed to bring you CONFIDENCE, not confusion.
